At The Grand, we do this by curating a world-class group coaching experience grounded in human experience, empathetic listening, and learning within a community.

This Role

As a Grand Coach, you will be a part of facilitating the magic of group coaching for individuals who are navigating similar transitions and goals. You will be responsible for helping create the space and container for small groups to gain clarity, confidence, and accountability among their peers, while simultaneously building a culture of belonging and support.

At The Grand, we define coaching as getting someone from where they are to where they want to go.

In alignment with The Grand’s definition of coaching, coaches are a crucial part of every participant’s journey to self-discovery and self-confidence. Being able to craft the right questions to tap into a participant’s inner wisdom and setting the example for sharing vulnerably among the group are key components of being a coach!

You'll participate in The Grand's training to gain the tools you'll need as a coach, and you'll lead small groups to provide wisdom, build community, and offer support. Our current coaches appreciate the opportunity to level up their skills and support a thoughtful and generous community. In addition, you have access to our growing coaching community that consistently shares learnings and shows support for one another in their coaching work.

Compensation for coaching includes:

  • A competitive hourly rate
  • The potential for bonuses and equity-based on tenure and performance

Our Ideal Candidate Will Be

  • Certified in Coaching. You come with certifications from the Co-Active Training Institute, the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and/or other leading coaching certification programs and training.
  • A Well-Seasoned Coaching Professional. You have 5+ years of professional experience and have also practiced coaching individuals and/or groups in the past. You are well-versed in asking open and honest questions and supporting people toward meeting their goals.
  • Deeply Empathetic and Vulnerable. You are not afraid to set the tone for sharing vulnerably in a group setting, and you are able to put yourself in the shoes of participants’ experiences, challenges, and opportunities to ensure they feel heard and seen.
  • Able to Navigate Ambiguity. You are skilled at facilitating deep discussion and encouraging exploration among participants and know when to steer the conversation into a different direction for the greater good of the group.
  • Open to 6-10 hours per Month. You are able to commit to a minimum of two concurrent engagements with The Grand.
